Melbourne Heart FC-s squad has received a boost following the return of Eli Babalj and Rutger Worm into the selection mix after recovering from injury.

Making a starring cameo appearance off the bench as he scored against Adelaide United in the National Youth League on Saturday, Babalj has already been earmarked by Head Coach John van ‘t Schip as a potential inclusion to the Heart squad for this weekend-s match with the Newcastle Jets.

Scoring twice during his debut season before being sidelined by injury, Babalj has demonstrated a clinical eye for goal and wonderful awareness throughout his short career to date, making him a potential attacking option for van ‘t Schip this weekend.

Worm provides with van ‘t Schip with further cause for contemplation as he returns from a stint on the sidelines after suffering with knee and groin concerns over the last six weeks.

However, the news isn-t as positive for Nick Kalmar and Kamal Ibrahim, who are set to be out of action for the remainder of the month.

Kalmar has suffered a back injury, while Ibrahim picked up a knock to his ankle while in action for the National Youth League side.

Kliment Taseski meanwhile remains on the long term injury list with a foot fracture.
