Midfield dynamo Nick Kalmar remains at least a month away from returning to action after sustaining a back injury earlier in the season.

Kalmar has made strong progress in his bid to return from the sidelines, joining the team in modified training this week.

However, the 24-year-old is unlikely to be considered for Hyundai A-League action until the New Year, with Kalmar-s path back to the senior side likely to feature a spell in the National Youth League side as he bids to build match fitness.

Youngster Kliment Taseski meanwhile has commenced his rehabilitation after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured foot.

The versatile midfielder will participate in pool and gym sessions before making his return to the pitch, and is set to be out until January.

Another rising star who has seen his game time curbed through injury this season is Kamal Ibrahim, with the winger on the comeback trail after sustaining an ankle injury.

Ibrahim though has commenced pitch work with the Club-s high performance staff as he seeks to build his fitness ahead of a likely return to the National Youth League side.

Finally, Adrian Zahra is poised to take the first steps on his road to recovery in the National Youth League team-s match against the Central Coast Mariners next weekend.

The coaching staff are keen for Zahra to receive game time to build confidence ahead of a Hyundai A-League comeback.
