Melbourne City FC can today confirm that defender Chelsea Blissett has suffered a knee injury that will rule her out of the 2020/21 Westfield W-League season.
Blissett tore her anterior crucial ligament (ACL) on Saturday and will have surgery to repair the damage.
Head Coach Rado Vidosic said: “It is very disappointing to lose a player like Chelsea for such a long period of time. She is in very good hands with our medical team and we will do everything we can to support her during her recovery. We can’t wait to see her back out on the pitch.”
