International City: Four representatives in Matildas tour of China, Mauk’s Olyroos downed in Seoul.

Westfield Matildas coach Alen Stajcic has named Lisa De Vanna, Laura Alleway, Larissa Crummer and Steph Catley in his 21-player squad for a host of upcoming internationals in China from 19-28 October 2015.

The tour will include matches against China and England with the possibility of a third game, and is seen as crucial preparation for the Westfield Matildas’ Olympic qualifiers in February 2016.

With City set to commence its inaugural Westfield W-League season 2015/16 this weekend, the matches in China are set to be the final internationals for the Westfield Matildas before an extremely challenging qualifying tournament for the Olympics, in which only two countries will make it to Brazil 2016.

Meanwhile midfielder Stefan Mauk was a member of the Olyroos squad which succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to the Korea Republic in Seoul last Friday.

Mauk began the match as a substitute as Tony Vidmar’s side continue their preparations for the upcoming AFC U-23 Championship in January.
