Melbourne Heart FC defender Patrick Kisnorbo said that his team has grown in confidence after their spirited draw with the Western Sydney Wanderers on the weekend.

Speaking at the Club-s training base at Epping on Wednesday for the unveiling of the fan-designed alternative strip, Kisnorbo said the team showed character against the Wanderers.

“The boys have got some confidence back in the team and we have been working hard on and off the pitch,” the defender said.

“It-s been good that we have got two good draws especially last week when we where away from home at a difficult place.

“I think we showed a lot of character to get to a place like that especially with our previous results before that game.

“The more consistent we are the better we can be if we can do that over 90 minutes it will be better for us and the team.”

Kisnorbo said it has been good to get some positive results on the board to repay the faith shown by Coach John Aloisi.

“The last two games I think we needed to dig in as a team and get some results for him he has been great for us, he-s backed us the whole way and he is a great guy, a great manager and hopefully we can kick on from here for him,” he said.

The 32-year-old defender said he is looking forward to a challenging match against Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium on Sunday evening.

“They are high on confidence, obviously they lost on the weekend but before that they were on a roll, it-s going to be tough, it-s not going to be easy but hopefully we can go there and do our job and get a result,” Kisnorbo said.
