Defender Patrick Kisnorbo is remaining optimistic that Melbourne Heart can turn things around despite their slow start to the season.

Kisnorbo, who returned from a three-week injury layoff against the Newcastle Jets, believes his team is more than capable of success and that it just needs to get the ball rolling.

“I think we have a great squad and all it takes is a win or a result to change things around like we-ve seen with Sydney and Newcastle,” Kisnorbo told SEN.

The 32-year-old centre back was also keen to throw his support behind Coach John Aloisi.

“We have a great coach in John Aloisi who has great ideas and he-s a young manager,” he said.

“You have to think Tony Popovic was in the same sort of way last year where he was win-less and look where they are now, that-s what we have to judge on.”

“Hopefully we can do the same for the Club, the fans, ourselves and the coaching staff
“I think we have a great core squad and we can prove that in the coming weeks.”

Kisnorbo ensured supporters that his team have kept a positive mindset and are hungry for their first win.

“We are hungry for success that-s one thing even though we are bottom,” he said.

“We are working towards a goal with the coaching staff behind us in the hope we can achieve that sooner rather than later,”

“It-s a great club to be at, we have a great coach a great supporting staff, we have great members that support the club so all we need to do is win and that-s the hard thing at the moment, hopefully it happens sooner rather than later.”
