Luke Brattan cleared of serious injury

Melbourne City midfielder Luke Brattan has been given the all clear by hospital doctors late on Tuesday night following a neck injury sustained during a first half collision in City’s FFA Cup match against Brisbane Roar.

The incident saw medical staff take the maximum precautions – not moving Brattan until the correct equipment was provided – resulting in a significant delay in play. Once the ambulance arrived, Brattan was taken to nearby Redcliffe Hospital where precautionary scans confirmed there was no lasting injury and he would be able to re-join the team for the trip back to Melbourne on Wednesday.

The Club and Luke would like to thank the well wishes of the footballing community as he looks to resume full training once given a final check by club doctors in Melbourne.
