Melbourne Heart FC trio Richard Garcia, Michael Marrone and Aziz Behich joined the Qantas Socceroos in Sydney today for a week-long camp.

In the lead-up to the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) East Asian Cup 2013 qualifying tournament, the trio will join up with Holger Osieck’s squad of 25 players that will be reduced on Friday.

The East Asian Cup will be held in Hong Kong from Friday 1 December and Heart’s three representatives, who have been influential for Heart this campaign, were selected in Osieck’s preliminary squad last week.

Garcia, Behich and Marrone have started Heart’s eight matches so far this season and if they travel with the Socceroos, they will miss this Sunday’s match against Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium and the match against Perth Glory at AAMI Park in a fortnight’s time.

Garcia has hit a purple patch of form for Heart, registering three man-of-the-match performances this season, while contributing three assists and three goals.

Garcia hit the net twice against the Newcastle Jets on Saturday and has formed a lethal partnership with Josip Tadic in recent matches.

Behich and Marrone have been both defensively sound while providing Heart with attacking impetus down the flanks.
