Match Day Details: City v Adelaide

After two trips on the road, we return home to take on Adelaide United in a blockbuster six-pointer at AAMI Park this Saturday 9 February. 

With exciting pre-match activities taking place at City Square, there’s plenty happening around the AAMI Park concourse to keep the whole family entertained in what is set to be a beautiful summer’s evening.

An action-packed City Square! 

All the action kicks off at City Square! Head down to Gosch’s Paddock from 5:30pm and countdown to kick-off in the company of your fellow City family. 

We're back at AAMI Park!

The Stomping Ground Brewery pop up bar returns once again where you can enjoy a limited-edition City Pale Ale in the lead up to kick-off.

Kids can emulate their City heroes at our small sided matches and show their skills at our City inflatables, while there will be plenty of food, activities and giveaways to keep you entertained before the big match.

  • Show us your best goal celebration at the DON Small Goods marquee

  • Test your kicking speed at the Macca’s Golden Goal speed radar
  • CITC clinics and Soccer Mums 
  • Free face painting, small sided matches, mascots and inflatables 

*All patrons at the Stomping Ground pop-up bar must be 18+ and show a valid ID.

Post-Match Member’s Meet and Greet! 

City members from sections 22-32 (West Stand) are invited to join us at Edwin’s Café after the match for some more member fun.

Come along and meet fellow members and enjoy the opportunity to meet and greet your favourite City players, take photos and get your merchandise signed.

Olympic Boulevard and Melbourne Park Bridge closures

A strip of Olympic Boulevard between Punt Rd and AAMI Park will be closed for scheduled tram track and lane maintenance. This means all northbound and southbound lanes on Punt Rd will not be able to turn onto Olympic Boulevard on Saturday night. Access to AAMI Park will still be available from the river end of Olympic Boulevard.

Getting to AAMI PARK

Public Transport is the quickest and easiest way to get to AAMI Park for Sunday’s match, with extra services running to and from AAMI Park on match day.

  • The nearest train station is Richmond Station, which is just a short stroll along Swan Street and Olympic Boulevard to AAMI Park.
  • The Route 70 tram to and from the city will continue to run with some small changes during the works. You’ll need to hop off the tram at Swan Street near Cremorne Street or AAMI Park and walk across Punt Road. To avoid these changes, you can also catch the train between Flinders Street and Richmond Station.
  • Bus Route 246 stops at the corner of Punt Road and Swan Street, which is close to AAMI Park.

Gate Openings

All gates will open at 6:50pm. 

Car Parking

If you prefer the comfort of driving, public car parking in Eastern Plaza (entrance D) of AAMI Park is back open, at a cost of $20 if you pre-book, or $30 on the day. Click here to book your parking now.
