Melbourne City FC can today announce the re-signing of winger Rhali Dobson ahead of the upcoming Westfield W-League season.

This will be Dobson’s fourth season at City and she has made 24 appearances for the club and scored two goals.

Dobson will be one of the most experienced players at the Club this season, having made a total of 97 Westfield W-League appearances and she also has scored 12 goals across her ten-year career.

Melbourne City FC Director of Football Michael Petrillo said:

“We are delighted to have Rhali back again for her fourth season.

“We have seen over a number of years now that she has the ability to start a game or come off the bench and make a real impact.

“Rhali also gives our squad some stability and experience which is vital to success.”

Rhali Dobson said:

“It’s always an easy decision to return to my home away from home.

“City is everything I am as an athlete and person; high expectations, intensity, focus, drive and ruthlessness.

“I’m making 100 caps in the W-League this season, which for me, my family and my country town of Wauchope is a huge and special moment. I’m also looking forward to having a target on our back and knowing we have a huge task ahead to ensure we continue to provide quality football for this club, our fans, and country.

“I’ve been in the W-League since the inaugural season so I know what it is like to be a youngster amongst amazing players. My focus with young players is to always cultivate their strengths and work on them with their areas of improvement.”
