Melbourne Heart FC secured their third win of the pre-season, cruising to a comfortable 4-0 win over Victorian Premier League side Richmond SC on Friday night.

Heart were 2-0 up inside in the first four minutes, as Iain Ramsay-s powerful long-range strike and Mate Dugandzic-s neat finish had Heart cruising in the early stages of the match.

Golgol Mebrahtu added a third, before Harry Kewell netted his first goal in his first start for the Red and White from the penalty spot.

Heart were dangerous from the outset, especially down the flanks, and made an immediate impact in the second minute as Patrick Gerhardt-s neat footwork bought Heart time in the midfield.

The central defender found space in the centre before feeding Ramsay who travelled with the ball momentarily, before unleashing an unstoppable strike from 25 metres which left the Richmond keeper grasping at thin air.

Heart were two up a minute later, as Dugandzic latched onto Gerhardt-s through ball and slipped the ball past the Richmond goalkeeper.

It was 3-0 in the 17th minute after another neat move, with Mebrahtu finishing Massimo Murdocca-s clever ball which left Richmond-s defence square.

Five minutes later, Mebrahtu earned the Red and White a penalty after some silky footwork before
Kewell stepped up and buried the spot kick for Heart-s fourth in the 23rd minute.

The match finished that way after a scoreless second half as both teams made numerous substitutions.
