Melbourne Heart FC has agreed to immediately release striker Dylan Macallister, allowing him to pursue a professional opportunity in Asia.

The 31-year-old forward will join his new club next week after featuring in 21 matches for the Red and White since joining the Club in 2012, including the first Melbourne Derby of 2012, in which he scored the winner.

“Dylan has been an absolute professional around the club since he arrived last season,” Melbourne Heart General Manager, Football Operations, John Didulica said.

“Unfortunately, he hasn-t been able to play regular football for the Club this season so a move makes sense for both the Club and the player.

“We wish Dylan and his young family all the best for the future.”
