Melbourne Heart FC will travel to Lismore this Saturday for a four-day camp

Melbourne Heart FC will travel to Lismore this Saturday for a four-day camp which includes a pre-season match against Hyundai A-League opponent Brisbane Roar.

The two A-League sides will face off on Sunday 25 August at Oakes Oval, Lismore, as part of the Red and White’s pre-season campaign.

Melbourne Heart travelled to Lismore last year for a week-long pre-season camp and will return to the area which allowed Head Coach John Aloisi’s side to engage with the city’s passionate football community.

“We-re looking forward to returning to Lismore and we are looking forward to the warm welcome from the local community and a big crowd for the match,” Aloisi said.

“It will be our first test against A-League opposition and we are likely to take close to a full-strength squad for the camp, including our newest signings.”

Melbourne Heart-s new number 10, Harry Kewell, will travel with the squad, while Lismore is likely to be the first to see the Red and White-s new marquee signing – 14-time Dutch international Orlando Engelaar – in action.

Melbourne Heart claimed a penalty shoot-out victory over the newly-established Western Sydney Wanderers in Lismore last year, in the Wanderers’ first-ever hit out against an A-League opponent.
