Melbourne Heart Syndicate’s latest key structural appointment is a clear demonstration of the quality of people it is looking for to build the organization into a force in Australian football.

Melbourne Heart Syndicate-s latest key structural appointment is a clear demonstration of the quality of people it is looking for to build the organization into a force in Australian football.

The syndicate-s new Football Operations Manager, John Didulica, has taken his passion for the game from the field, and parlayed it into a stellar career in management and administration of the professional code at the highest levels. For Melbourne Heart, it could prove one of their most significant appointments when it comes to securing a strong pool of on-field talent and laying the foundations for success for the new Melbourne franchise.

John Didulica will join the Melbourne Heart Syndicate from the FFA, where he is currently Legal Counsel – responsible for all domestic and international rules and regulations that apply to the conduct of football in Australia

The lawyer and former Sydney United and Melbourne Knights player has had a life immersed in the game and has spent the last 7 years working with the Professional Footballers players- association, FIFA and the FFA, giving him a unique insight into the machinations and the evolution of the current football industry.

Didulica-s recent football management roles have given him unsurpassed insight into the corporate dimensions of the game, player values. talent identification protocols and the recruitment and management of coaching and support staff.

“John-s appointment brings enormous depth to the club from both a business and football perspective. His legal background and negotiation skills together with his football credentials and relationships with officials and players throughout Australia and internationally will be a vital factor in establishing the football department of the new club…. “ said the Heart-s CEO Scott Munn.

Scott went on to say, “The Melbourne Heart Syndicate is committed to developing strong links within the community and part of John-s role at the FFA involved developing and assisting with community and junior programs. His role with our club will draw on this experience and will embrace many of these grass-roots responsibilities.

John will begin his role with the Melbourne Heart Syndicate at the end of the month, allowing recently appointed CEO Scott Munn to focus on the business of the club. If the level of interest in the new syndicate is anything to go by, John will have his hands full fielding approaches from player managers both here and overseas, whose charges are interested in joining the new consortium.
