Melbourne City FC can confirm that Jacob Melling has suffered a knee injury which will see the 20-year-old miss the last round of the Hyundai A-League 2014/15 regular season and the competition’s Finals Series.
The midfielder, who has had a breakout season after making 14 senior appearances, underwent surgery on Monday to treat the injury to his right knee.
Melling sustained the injury at training last week and will immediately commence rehabilitation ahead of Melbourne City FC’s 2015/16 campaign.
