Melbourne City FC will look to keep in touch with the leading pack this Saturday as they take on Murray United in Round 11 of the PS4 NPL2 Victoria West competition.

City come off a resounding 7-0 win over Nunawading that saw Joe Palatsides’ side easily account for Nuna, picking up their first win in five weeks.

The NPL side sit in sixth position, three points off 5th place Ballarat and six points off a three-way tie in first between Moreland Zebras, St Albans Saints and Whittlesea Ranges.

Three points should be the goal for City this weekend as they face the Eastern Conference’s 9th placed side, Murray United.

Murray have picked up five points in ten matches this season with their latest result a tight 1-0 loss to North Geelong at Elcho Park and will look to bounce back at home on Saturday.

The one to watch for United is our former NYL striker Zac Walker. The Albury Wodonga native is the Club’s star player, netting five times already this season and the talented attacker will be at the forefront of Murray’s attack this weekend.

City take on Murray United this Saturday at La Trobe University’s Albury Wodonga campus, U20’s kick-off 1pm, Seniors kick-off 3pm.
