Sydney FC is the only current A-League side in which Melbourne Heart have never lost to.

We registered our first point of the season against Melbourne Victory last Saturday night in the highly anticipated Melbourne derby.

A huge crowd of almost 40,000 witnessed a 0-0 draw, a game which arguably should have ended in Melbourne Heart taking all three points.

Even though we only managed a point, we can be proud of our performance and take a number of positives into our next game at home to Sydney FC.

We also moved off the foot of the ladder, up one position to ninth, and can possibly move above Sydney and into the top-half of the table by the end of this weekend if we defeat the Sky Blues and other results go our way.

vs Sydney:
Sydney FC is the only current A-League side in which Melbourne Heart have never lost to.

In the three times these two sides have confronted each other in the A-League, two have ended in draws, both at AAMI Park, and the other was won by Heart, a 1-0 win at the SFS.

The Sky Blues are also the only current side in which Heart have a positive goal difference against.

Solid:
Melbourne Heart have only ever conceded two goals against Sydney FC, both coming in the same game with one being a penalty-kick.

That means the club Heart has kept the most clean sheets against is, of course, Sydney.

Indiscipline:
Last season Heart accumulated a total of 56 yellow cards, 11 of those cards coming in their three encounters against Sydney, even though in total Sydney completed more fouls.

Random Fact:
Melbourne Heart FC defeated Melbourne Victory Youth 2-0 in the opening round of the National Youth League season on the weekend, meaning Heart have won both the first ever A-League and Youth derby games.

Make sure you get down to AAMI Park this Saturday night as we look for our first win of the season against Sydney FC!
