After enjoying a season full of excitement, goals and record-breaking moments, Melbourne City member Bridget shares her passion for the Club after renewing her membership for the 2016/17 season.
A foundation member of the Club, Bridget witnessed the back of the net ripple during numerous City home matches this season, sitting behind the goals in the north stand of AAMI Park as a General Admission member.
While the likes of Bruno Fornaroli and Aaron Mooy inspired the Club’s record breaking season in-front of goal, Bridget was left enthused by the togetherness, teamwork and spirit shown by the entire squad.
“One of the most exciting things about Melbourne City this year is that we’ve demonstrated we can play amazing football,” Bridget said. “We’ve had lots of amazing star players, but the performance by the team as a whole has been really incredible and really exciting.”
“I’m even more excited about next season because of the potential we have.”
Reflecting back on her favourite City moment, it is the Club’s historic W-League Grand Final which stands above the rest.
“One of my ultimate Melbourne City moments was when Lisa De Vanna scored the fourth goal in the W-League Grand Final. It was an amazing culmination of an incredible season where we completely dominated and won every match.”
A passionate and dedicated City fan, Bridget highlights the unique bond between the players and supporters as one of her favourite aspects of the Club.
“The reason I’m a Melbourne City member and what I love most about Melbourne City is that it’s a club that embraces its fans. It’s a team that plays beautiful football and is also a team that welcomes fans, engages with fans and makes sure it’s a match day experience that all fans will never forget.”
