The inaugural Melbourne Heart FC Northern Schools Soccer Tournament for boys was held on Thursday 7th of November with seven schools participating in the successful tournament.

Marcellin College, John Fawkner College, Essendon Keilor College, Thomastown Secondary College, Charles La Trobe College and Marymede Catholic College joined hosts Parade College in competing for the Melbourne Heart FC Schools Cup sponsored by La Trobe University.

With all games being played well within the Melbourne Heart spirit it was Parade and Marcellin who came out on top of their pools and played off in the final.

A thrilling encounter followed with Parade winning in a penalty shoot-out.

Former student and Melbourne Heart midfielder Massimo Murdocca was on hand to present his former school the trophy.

A big thank-you to Parade College for hosting the event and the Club looks forward to expanding the tournament further next year.
