With Qantas Socceroos trio Richard Garcia, Michael Marrone and Aziz Behich returning, Sam Mitchinson and Jeremy Walker are the notable exclusions from John Aloisi’s squad this week.
Aloisi is likely to hand Garcia, Marrone and Behich immediate starting berths on their return, while Mitchinson and Walker will still travel to New South Wales, but will face the Central Coast Mariners with Joe Palatsides’ National Youth League squad on Saturday.
Nick Kalmar or Jason Hoffman are likely to make way for Garcia, while captain Fred is set to make his milestone 50th appearance in the Hyundai A-League.
Golgol Mebrahtu retains his place in the squad, although is likely to remain on the bench and may be utilised as a substitute against the Mariners.
