Melbourne Heart FC will enter its round seven Hyundai A-League showdown against Adelaide United this Saturday with a relatively unchanged squad from last week’s 4-1 win over Brisbane Roar.
Steven Gray is the only exclusion from last week’s squad after the Irishman picked up a knee injury in training during the week.
Captain Fred will remain sidelined as he recovers from a hamstring injury while Aziz Behich, who made his debut for the Qantas Socceroos in an international friendly against South Korea last night, will join up with his teammates.
“We won’t risk Fred just as yet,” Heart Head Coach John Aloisi said.
“He’s had a good week and he’ll have another good week next week and then I’m sure he’ll be available for selection then.
“I’m happy with the squad from last week so i’ll go with that squad this week.”
GolGol Mehbratu, who is back to full fitness, will continue to progress through the National Youth League side, while Jonatan Germano is still three to four weeks away with a calf injury. Vince Grella has projected a similar return time and has been progressing will in training.
“Very pleased [with Grella’s progress],” Aloisi said.
“I still think he has a little bit more work to do, it’s too early to say he’ll be back for this game or that game, we’ll see in two or three weeks to see how he’s feeling and how he’s training and then we’ll take it from there.”
