Melbourne Heart FC and Save the Children Australia have teamed up to raise funds for children affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

On Saturday 21 December, Melbourne Heart will dedicate their game with Melbourne Victory to children recovering from the devastating impact of Typhoon Haiyan.

Fans on the night will be encouraged to donate a gold coin in exchange for a Santa hat. Everyone who donates will go in the draw to win the lucky Santa hat grand prize that includes:
– $1500 travel voucher
– Merchandise pack
– Melbourne Heart merchandise and experiences will also be up for grabs on eBay.

Auction items include Harry Kewell signed boots; a 2013-14 Melbourne Heart jersey signed by the squad; and an inner sanctum experience of a Melbourne Heart home game. The experience includes a behind the scenes tour of AAMI Park, a walk on the pitch and seats behind the Melbourne Heart bench.

All funds raised through the auction and at the game will go towards providing food, water, shelter, healthcare and protection for children and their families in the Philippines.

Melbourne Heart and Save the Children Australia
Our partnership with Save the Children Australia commenced in 2012. As part of the partnership, children who attend Save the Children education programs in Melbourne have the opportunity to take part in game day activities and attend workshops with Melbourne Heart players.

Save the Children also have the opportunity to raise much-needed funds for vulnerable children at selected Melbourne Heart games.
