If that was the low point of Thompson-s season, it got much, much better as the year went on.

A spectacular double with two fantastic finished is the season-s second derby at AAMI Park was perhaps the highlight, but Thompson chipped in with some massive goals in Perth against the Gold Coast, in addition to his goals against the Victory.
