The former captain provided some much needed experience at the heart of defence when fit enough to play, helping to steady the ship in the first derby of the season at Etihad Stadium where he put in one of his best performances since joining the club last season.
Colosimo-s experience was sorely missed in the Heart-s debut finals appearances away at Perth where the clinical Shane Smeltz took advantage of some naive defending.
