Melbourne Heart-s veteran defender had an injury-interrupted season but still managed to make 16 appearances in the red & white stripes of Melbourne Heart. The former captain provided some much needed experience at the heart of defence when fit enough to play, helping to steady the ship in the first derby of the season at Etihad Stadium where he put in one of his best performances since joining the club last season.

Colosimo-s experience was sorely missed in the Heart-s debut finals appearances away at Perth where the clinical Shane Smeltz took advantage of some naive defending. Nevertheless his contribution to the side remained pivotal in ensuring the Heart made a finals appearance at all, as well as proving a fine model for the likes of Brendan Hammill and Curtis Good who will no doubt have learned some invaluable lessons from the experienced defender as they start out on their own promising careers.

Highs:
– A brilliant performance in the season-s first derby at the Etihad, helping the Heart to their first point of the campaign in his first appearance of the season.

Lows:
– A red card against Adelaide United, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
