Having suffered a hamstring strain during last week-s match against Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium, Germano is poised to be sidelined for a fortnight, forcing Head Coach John van ‘t Schip into a reshuffle of his squad.
However, with Srhoj waiting in the wings, he offers van ‘t Schip a straight swap solution, enabling the Dutchman to largely keep faith with the squad which netted Heart its first ever win over the Brisbane Roar.
Srhoj isn-t alone in earning a recall, with Simon Colosimo, Alex Terra and David Williams the other inclusions in van ‘t Schip-s extended 18-man squad, providing the Heart tactician with a plethora of options ahead of the trip across the Nullarbor.
Sidelined for the last three weeks after sustaining a knock to his knee, Colosimo has endured a stuttering start to the campaign, with suspension and injury conspiring to limit his participation this season.
Terra and Williams meanwhile are in contention for a return to the match-day squad after impressing in training and at National Youth League level respectively.
Williams netted a double during last weekend-s stellar 5-2 come from behind victory over Brisbane Roar, adding to his strike during the side-s 2-0 triumph over the Australian Institute of Sport.
But with incumbents Eli Babalj, Rutger Worm, Mate Dugandzic and Maycon on song, the duo may face an uphill battle to force their way back into the reckoning this weekend.
