In this week-s stat attack we pick out some player stats and look at all the numbers surrounding our home clash against the Wellington Phoenix on Sunday afternoon.

The last time these two teams were in battle it resulted in a massive 5-0 win to Melbourne Heart, the biggest win in the club-s history. It remains the only time Heart have ever scored more than four goals in one game.

David Williams scored three of those five goals, becoming the first and so far only Melbourne Heart player to score a hat-trick in a Hyundai A-League match. It was also Orlando Engelaar-s first ever HAL goal.

But Melbourne Heart-s record over the Phoenix in Melbourne in recent times has not something to cheer over, with two draws and a loss in their past three encounters at AAMI Park. Heart have only ever defeated the Phoenix once in Melbourne, and that was all the way back in September of 2010.

Heart-s record of seven games without defeat came to an end on Saturday, with a 1-0 loss away to Newcastle. But a win against the Phoenix would give Heart a club record of seven wins in their past nine games.
