Team News: City sees forward return for the Derby

Our team is in for Saturday’s massive Melbourne Derby at AAMI Park. See who’s in and who’s out of this week’s side!

City see the return of Bruce Kamau to the extended side as the young forward was a shock omission from the squad that took on Sydney last week. After a busy month for the side, Kamau was rested after a heavy work load and will put his hand up for selection.

In both matches against Victory this season the former Adelaide United man played an important role in tormenting the opposition full backs and is another option John van’t Schip has at his disposal.

Connor Chapman also joins Kamau in the extended side which will be cut down by two 90 minutes before kick-off.

The surprise inclusion last week was Ruon Tongyik and the defender has retained his spot in the extended side. With a plethora of defensive options, it is still unsure whether or not Tongyik will retain his starting spot but proved last week he has the ability to play a role come Saturday.
