Team News: City unchanged for Friday, Franjic added

John van’t Schip will be taking an unchanged squad into Friday night’s contest with Adelaide United as City look to bounce back in the A-League after its mid-week cup triumph.

Injury concerns to Bruce Kamau and Luke Brattan during the week have seen the duo recover for the contest with the Head Coach confirming their inclusion for Friday’s match.

Kamau returns to the frame for to take on against his previous side after sitting out Tuesday night’s cup match with concussion. Brattan’s calf concerns were also alleviated by his solid performance against Victory in the FFA Cup Semi Final and will look to impress once again after his provisional call-up to the Socceroos squad.

Ivan Franjic’s cameo on Tuesday night has seen him move into the coach’s equation for Friday night but van’t Schip was quick to quash any starting rumours around the Socceroos full-back, saying he is still a while away from being fully match fit.

National Youth League player Denis Genreau also makes the 18-man squad that will be cut down to 16 90 minutes befoe kick-off.

City will come into the contest full of confidence after its latest Derby win but wary of a wounded Adelaide side who have impressed this season despite their injury issues.
