City open their 2019/20 season account with a trip to Newcastle as they seek to claim three points in their season opener.
New international signings Claire Emslie, Ellie Carpenter, Emma Checker, Emily van Egmond and Milica Mijatovic have all been named in the squad and are set to feature for the first time in City colours.
NPLW Victoria duo Maja Markovski and Katherine Goff have also been named in City’s extended squad for their Round 1 trip to Newcastle. Goff is a speedy winger who spent her 2019 National Premier League season at Alamein FC, while Markovski is a talented number 9 who was awarded the 2019 NPLW Rising Star award following a strong campaign with Box Hill United.
City face back-to-back road trips to open the season, the first of those coming this Sunday 17 November against the Jets at No.2 Sportsground, kick-off 6:00pm, before Rado Vidosic’s squad travels to McKellar Park to take on Canberra United on Sunday 24 November, kick-off 4:00pm.
