Team News: City’s Round 21 squad

Our team is in for Saturday’s clash with Perth Glory. See who’s in and who’s out of this week’s side.

Melbourne City have been bolstered by the inclusions of new signing Oliver Bozanic and the return of Nathaniel Atkinson as they look to bounce back in Western Australia.

Atkinson’s speedy recovery from an ankle injury that almost ended his season five weeks ago is positive news for Warren Joyce and his side and the Head Coach has showed his faith in the youngster, calling him back up to this week’s side.

Bozanic has also been training well for City and may play a role on Saturday with the omission of Osama Malik. Malik – who sustained a quad injury in the warm up last match – will miss the trip to Perth as he recovers from the setback.

It was a positive return for Bruno Fornaroli as well, as the striker continues his work toward full fitness. The Uruguayan’s cameo off the bench against Sydney was the first step towards a starting berth however Joyce will make that decision 90 minutes before kick-off.

Melbourne City take on Perth Glory this Saturday night at nib Stadium, kick-off 10pm AEDT. City return to AAMI Park next week for the deciding Melbourne Derby of the season. Get your tickets below.
