Team News: City’s Round 3 squad

The team is in for Sunday’s clash with Western United. See who’s in and who’s out of this week’s side.

It’s an unchanged squad heading into Sunday’s contest at GMHBA Stadium as City look to bounce back from their FFA Cup Final disappointment against their Western rivals.

Erick Mombaerts shuffled the cards around last Sunday against Adelaide and will continue to show his squad’s depth with the chance for multiple players to move into the starting side against United.

Despite the short turnaround, the squad has recovered well from the contest at Coopers Stadium and will have a fire in the belly to atone for Wednesday night’s result.

Florin Berenguer remains on the injury list with his hamstring keeping him out for at least the next month while Denis Genreau and Stefan Colacovski are added to the extended 20-man side that will be cut down to 18, 90 minutes before kick-off.

Melbourne City face Western United on Sunday night at GMHBA Stadium, kick-off 6.00pm.
