Team News: City’s Round 9 squad

The team is in for Tuesday’s New Year’s Day clash with Western Sydney Wanderers. See who’s in and who’s out of this week’s side.

It’s an unchanged squad, with Head Coach Rado Vidosic naming the same 16 players that were selected ahead of our Round 8 clash with Canberra United.

Unbeaten in their past three league fixtures, City will be looking to extend their winning run when they take on the Wanderers at ANZ Stadium on New Year’s Day.

Captain Steph Catley got through her first 90-minutes since knee surgery against Canberra United in Round 8, as the Matildas international continues to build with each performance, showcasing her world-class ability.

City will be looking to continue their march up the league ladder against the Wanderers, before they take on Melbourne Victory in the second Melbourne Derby of the season on Saturday 5 January, before hosting Brisbane Roar at AAMI Park on Friday 11 January. With a busy schedule over the next week and a half, the strength of City’s squad will be key.

The squad of 16 will be cut down by one, 60-minute prior to kick-off on Tuesday afternoon.
