An eight-day turnaround has seen City rest and recover from last Friday’s clash with Sydney FC, allowing Michael Valkanis’ squad to focus fully on the Mariners this week.
The two headline ‘in’s’ to the extended squad is the addition of Nicolas Colazo and Michael Jakobsen with both looking to be fit for the contest.
Colazo – who missed out on last week’s contest with a slight groin strain – looks to be fit and firing and has trained with the squad fully this week ahead of the trip to Gosford.
Jakobsen on the other hand has progressed well with his calf injury and with another two sessions before his side take on the Central Coast, the former Danish international will still have to prove his fitness before being selected in the final side of 16.
City will be without Manny Muscat this week who will serve a one-week suspension for his red card against the Sydney FC while Dean Bouzanis still has two weeks on the side-lines before being eligible for selection.
