Melbourne City FC travel to Newcastle on Sunday to take on the Jets in Round 10 of the Hyundai A-League. See who’s in and who’s out of this week’s side.
After two convincing wins against Perth and the Central Coast, City will look continue their impressive run against an opponent that John van’t Schip’s man will be wary of.
Robi Koren makes his long awaited return to the extended side after fully recovering from a calf injury. The marquee man has been training in full for two weeks and Head Coach has given the Slovenian the nod to potentially make his return to the squad in some capacity this week.
Matt Millar also joins the 18-man squad with two players still to be omitted.
The Jets also see two important inclusions to the side as central defender Nigel Boogard and striker Leonardo return from injury after last week’s loss to Sydney FC.
Scott Miller’s men have been the surprise packets of the league so far this season and will look to suppress the rampant City forward third.
