Trio Set To Miss Wellington Match

Melbourne Heart FC Head Coach John van ‘t Schip has announced Rutger Worm, Eli Babalj and John Aloisi will miss the Club’s match with Wellington Phoenix tomorrow

Melbourne Heart FC Head Coach John van ‘t Schip has announced Rutger Worm, Eli Babalj and John Aloisi will miss the Club-s match with Wellington Phoenix tomorrow.

Worm has been sidelined for 2-4 weeks with a groin injury while a hip and thigh concern is set to force Babalj out for 6-8 weeks.

Van ‘t Schip meanwhile has opted to rest Aloisi in preparation for Heart-s first-ever match against the Socceroo legend-s former side, Sydney FC, at AAMI Park on Saturday.

“Rutger and Eli came up injured after Friday-s match so they will certainly not be available for the Wellington game, which is disappointing,” van ‘t Schip said.

“With John, we decided that it would be best suited for him to remain in Melbourne to ensure he is completely prepared for the challenge of Saturday night.

“However, one of the team-s great strengths is the depth of talent we have available to choose from, so I am confident the players selected to come into the team will be up to the task.”
