Melbourne City FC Head Coach John van’t Schip says finals are no certainty with 360 minutes remaining of the regular season.

van’t Schip will be preparing his men for Friday night’s clash with Western Sydney Wanderers and made it clear that his side are fully aware of the Wanderers’ recent run of form.

“It’s not going to be an easy game.” van’t Schip said.

“We lead two times and still lost (in the last encounter). Looking at them for the last two or three games, they have playing freely, they have good form, they are looking dangerous going forward with Bulut and Castelen so we have to be prepared and go there and get a result,

“Three in a row gives the boys more confidence, especially in the last part of the season, but there are four tough games ahead of us and we just have to make sure we are on top so we can get the results we need,

“If we want to continue our vision towards the finals then this is the task.”

That vision includes three of the last four matches away from home but the Dutchman isnt fazed by the run towards the finals

“We showed we can win away as well,” van’t Schip said.

“If we can play to the best of our ability, we can also win games away. I think it’s only a good sign the Sydney match to beat an inform side away. It should help the team as well,

“There are enough games there (in the past) to show we can be on top (of opposition sides) and win.”

van’t Schip will be without James Brown for Friday’s clash with the striker likely to miss the rest of the season with a foot injury however a fit Josh Kennedy and the possibility of Aaron Mooy playing a role in the match has the Head Coach confident ahead of the Wanderers.

Don’t miss Friday night’s match on free-to-air SBS one and Fox Sport 4 (Channel 505) from 7:30pm
