Melbourne Heart FC Head Coach John van-t Schip believes there is still plenty for his side to play for, despite missing out on a finals appearance.
Van-t Schip-s men missed the chance to make a late dash for the play-offs, following defeat against the recently crowned premiers Brisbane Roar last Friday night.
Despite that, van-t Schip insists the team has plenty to play for in the last two games of the regular season.
“Most players are going to be involved next year, so [our focus is] still continuing on improving and learning and getting better,” van-t Schip said.
“That-s a great game to do that. Adelaide is playing the way of football that we like to play as well.
“We-ve already had two very good games, two very close games with them and we-re up for it to make sure they are not going to have an easy night.
“You have to be switched on, concentrated… the normal things. It-s a game that you have to prepare again very well.
“Against Brisbane we got caught on two moments that we didn-t do things properly what we talked about.
“You are always going to make mistakes so it-s avoiding making as much mistakes and start playing the way that we want and improving again.”
Tando Velaphi made his debut for the Club against Brisbane last week and van-t Schip says he is in line to keep his place for the remainder of the season.
“I told Tando that he is going to play the last three games,” van-t Schip said.
“He showed that he-s very close to Redders [Redmayne] so he will start in goal tomorrow, and if nothing really happens he will play in the last game.”
The last time these two sides met it finished in a 2-2 draw with a Patrick Kisnorbo header cancelled out by a 90th minute equaliser from Ryan Griffiths.
