Melbourne City FC commenced its pre-season training at Epping Soccer Stadium on Monday 9 June, as preparations for the Hyundai A-League 2014-15 season commenced.

New signings James Brown, Connor Chapman, Aaron Mooy and Jacob Melling joined their new teammates as day one of Melbourne City’s pre-season got underway.

New Senior Assistant Luciano Trani and Assistant Coaches Ivan Jolic and Joey Didulica were also present, taking the first-team squad through their paces.

Goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne said the players were “buzzing” to get back to work at training and the camaraderie on day one had been strong.

“It’s good to be back among the boys; the banter in the change rooms is already off to a flyer,” Redmayne said.

“But it’s just great to be out on the training track and there are a lot of positives ahead and I think it was a very short and sharp session today.

“Here at Melbourne City we have a fantastic culture in the team I think that carries on and we made the [new] boys feel really welcome. From the young boys to the older boys, they will all feel welcome.”
