A superb strike from Golgol Mebrahtu was not enough to inspire Melbourne Heart FC to an upset win over Western Sydney Wanderers; however the goal will go down as one of Heart’s best strikes of the season.
Mebrahtu struck the effort in the 39th minute last night to cancel out Labinot Haliti’s opener for the Wanderers, but the strike proved to be a consolation for the Red and White as Haliti and Iacopo La Rocca scored two more goals for the visitors.
Mebrahtu has now scored four goals in three starts for Heart, although he has featured in 10 matches off the bench.
