Melbourne Heart FC Head Coach John Aloisi believes his side deserve more reward for its efforts after falling to Western Sydney Wanderers on Friday night.

The Red and White suffered a 1-0 defeat after the Wanderers scored the descive goal through Shannon Cole in the first half, but Aloisi’s side were unlucky not to earn a point in a strong performance which troubled the reigning Hyundai A-League premiers.

“There’s still plenty of points to be won,” Aloisi said. “We know it’s not a great start points-wise but we have to keep working and believing.

“The players believe in what we’re doing, they’re distraught because they know we should’ve got more out of the game.

“But keep on believing, keep working, keep improving and we will win games.

“Hopefully for the supporters we will start to win games and get that confidence to start moving up the table because we’re too good to only have two points.

“When you’re creating that many chances against Western Sydney who are the most organised side in the league, then you’re doing something right and we’ll get better.”
