Melbourne Heart FC Head Coach John Aloisi has promised that his Red and White charges will not give up in their quest for a Finals Series berth, despite suffering a 3-1 loss against Western Sydney Wanderers last night.
“We can’t give up because that’s not in my nature to give up,” Aloisi said in last night’s post-match press conference.
“We’ll keep fighting until the end and we’ll make sure we’ll give everything to make sure we get a result against Brisbane.
“Everyone says that our away form – and they’re right – hasn’t been great and that our home form had been great and now we’ve lost our last two [at home].
“Why not win two away from home now?”
Heart mathematically has the chance to qualify for finals, but will realistically require six points from its two outings against Brisbane Roar and Central Coast Mariners to have a chance of breaking into the top six.
“The boys gave everything so I can’t complain about their effort,” Aloisi said.
