Melbourne Heart FC is delighted to confirm it will face Adelaide United at Epping Stadium on Tuesday 21 August (7:30pm kick-off) as part of the final leg of the 2012 Westpac Community Football Festival in the City of Whittlesea.
Melbourne Heart FC is delighted to confirm it will face Adelaide United at Epping Stadium on Tuesday 21 August (7:30pm kick-off) as part of the final leg of the 2012 Westpac Community Football Festival in the City of Whittlesea.
The Red and White will arrive on August 20 for the start of the three-day football extravaganza, which will see Heart engage with the local football and business community through a series of clinics and events, courtesy of Westpac-s local network of branches.
Westpac-s ‘Coach the Coach- program is set to be one of the highlights of the festival, with Heart Head Coach John Aloisi holding a seminar educating local football clubs on the latest tactical and technical innovations in the game.
The Festival will also see Heart stage clinics and make community appearances throughout the area, with star players Fred, Mate Dugandzic and Aziz Behich among the players set to play their part and immerse themselves in the local community.
Heart Chief Executive Officer Scott Munn said the Club is delighted to strengthen its relationship with the Cardinia region through the Westpac Community Football Festival.
“Throughout our Club-s existence, we have been vigilant in the belief that it is incumbent upon us as an elite level organisation to further the cause of football throughout the state and inspire the next generation of Victorians,” he said.
“Due to Westpac-s commitment and drive, the Club is delighted to extend a hand and support Whittlesea-s local football community through the festival, which we hope will help boost the sport-s grassroots profile in the area.
Melbourne Heart FC members and participants at selected local clubs will receive free entry to the Adelaide United friendly.
