Following on from the successful implementation of regular City Challenge meetings, Melbourne City is introducing the #CityChallenge competition to encourage females in local Victorian clubs to develop regular and innovate ways to engage followers with their club’s media channels.
At the most recent City Challenge workshop, Melbourne City’s media team, consisting of the club’s Digital Media and Communications Manager and W-League Media Manager, conducted a workshop demonstrating the impact and use of social media in promoting local and professional football clubs.
Following this, Melbourne City is encouraging affiliate City Clubs and Victorian clubs to encourage local clubs to come up with innovative ways to engage their female fan bases, participants, players and boards through social media and content ideas.
#CityChallenge is a competition to encourage Victorian football clubs to come up with innovative ways to promote their female teams and participants.
How do I enter?
Melbourne City is encouraging clubs or individuals to submit the best multimedia ideas – across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
What can you win?
Two winners will have the opportunity to shadow the Club’s A-League and W-League media managers on two match days throughout the season. This will involve a behind-the-scenes opportunity to view the club’s media operations on a match day.
All entries will go in the draw to win 20 tickets to attend a Melbourne City FC A-League or W-League match.
Entries close on Monday 18 September at 5.00pm.
