Melbourne City FC will be holding another Young Leaders Training Program at the City Football Academy in Melbourne to help educate and empower the community’s future leaders during the April school holidays.

Following on from the success of City’s third Young Leaders Training program in January, City in the Community has announced a two-day Young Leaders Training Program during the April school holidays, from Monday 8 April to Tuesday 9 April at the City Football Academy in Bundoora.

The two-day program will focus on community leadership and developing skills and attributes needed to deliver community football programs that address social issues and impact the community. It will cover a range of skills and topics, including mentoring, group dynamics, communication and coaching for social impact.

Young Leaders will build confidence, values and mind-set to lead effectively, and also develop skills in inter-cultural awareness and respect across different backgrounds and cultures.

Please note that participants do not need to have completed the January program to attend the upcoming program in April. Participants must be aged between 17 and 25-years-old for the free program.

The Young Leaders Training Program promises to be a fun and stimulating event that will help young people who have an interest in football and the community become better leaders. It will also assist them in exploring different ways that they can be involved in community football initiatives in the future.
