Young Leaders Training returns in 2020!

Young leaders

Melbourne City FC will be holding its fourth Young Leaders Training Program at the City Football Academy in January 2020 to help educate and empower the community’s future leaders.

The Young Leaders training program will be run between Tuesday 21 January and Friday 24 January 2020 at the City Football Academy in Bundoora, Melbourne.

The free, four-day program is designed to equip young community leaders with the leadership skills and techniques required to create social change in their communities, through practical and theoretical football sessions.

City’s existing Young Leaders, who have been trained through the Club’s City in the Community program over the past three years, Abraham Abraham, Jaia Pate, Timmy Laing, Gabriella Collins and Cara Matsa will lead the workshop for 60 young members of the local Victorian community, alongside an experienced CITC coach from Manchester City.

Those leaders who have progressed through Melbourne City’s training program will share their knowledge and experiences learned across their time at the Club and as part of the global Cityzens Giving Young Leaders training in Manchester.

Young leaders will also hear from members of City’s A-League and W League leadership groups.
