Midfielder Nathaniel Atkinson
- D.O.B. 13/6/99
The 20-year-old burst onto the scene for Melbourne City FC midway through the 2017/18 Hyundai A-League season when a string of strong performances for Melbourne City Youth led to his senior debut.
Originally from Tasmania, Atkinson began playing football for Riverside Olympic before joining the National Training Centre (NTC). It was from there that Melbourne City Youth coaches scouted the youngster.
Making his debut in City's Round 10 win over Central Coast at AAMI Park in the 2017/18 Hyundai A-League season, Atkinson became the first player to graduate from John Fawkner College through the Melbourne City College of Football program to debut at the senior level.
The pacey 20-year-old has demonstrated his versatility at the senior level, playing a number of roles from fullback to midfield. Predominantly a winger, Atkinson will continue to develop his style of play under Head Coach Erick Mombaerts.
