Midfielder Nathaniel Atkinson

The 19-year-old burst onto the scene for Melbourne City FC midway through the 2017/18 Hyundai A-League season when Head Coach Warren Joyce handed the youngster his senior debut following a string of standout performances for the Melbourne City Youth team.
Originally from Tasmania, Atkinson started playing football for Riverside Olympic. He eventually joined the NTC, and from there Melbourne City FC Youth coaches scouted him. Atkinson made his debut for City in their Round 10 win over Central Coast Mariners at AAMI Park in the 2018/18 season, it’s there that he became the first player to graduate from John Fawkner College through the Melbourne City College of Football program to debut.
